Policies & Guidelines
At ON3 Shiny First Steps Foundation, we are committed to providing safe, respectful, and supportive services for teen and young parents. Our Policies & Guidelines ensure that every family receives fair access to resources, clear expectations, and a positive experience across all programs and events. These standards help us maintain confidentiality, safety, and consistency while serving our community with compassion and care.
Eligibility Policy
Our programs support teen and young parents ages 13–24. Identification or proof of guardianship may be requested to ensure accurate services and safety.
Support Request Policy
Requests for assistance are reviewed in the order they are received. Emergency kits and Baby Essentials Closet items are provided based on donation availability. Parents must submit accurate contact information when requesting support.
Respect & Conduct Policy
We provide a judgment-free and supportive environment. All participants are expected to speak respectfully, follow event instructions, treat volunteers kindly, and respect the privacy of others. Harassment or disruptive behavior is not allowed.
Privacy & Confidentiality Policy
All personal information shared with ON3 Shiny First Steps Foundation is kept private. We do not share your information with anyone outside the foundation unless required for safety or legal reasons.
Donation-Based Supply Policy
All baby items and support supplies are provided based on availability. We cannot guarantee specific sizes, brands, or quantities, as our inventory depends on community donations.
Event Participation Policy
Community Baby Showers and other programs require registration. Attendance is required to receive gifts, resources, or raffle items. Children must remain with their parent or guardian during events. Photos will only be taken if permission is given.
Photo & Media Policy
Parents may decline photos at any time. Participation in photos or media is completely optional and will never affect access to services.
Pick-Up & Appointment Policy
For scheduled pickups, items must be picked up at the confirmed time. Missed appointments can be rescheduled, but unclaimed items may be offered to another family to ensure timely support.
Safety Policy
All events and distribution sites are drug-free and smoke-free. Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times. If anyone feels unsafe or uncomfortable, please notify a team member immediately.
Non-Discrimination Policy
We proudly serve all young parents regardless of race, gender, background, relationship status, income, religion, disability, or sexual orientation. Everyone is welcome.
Volunteer Guidelines
Volunteers must check in upon arrival, wear a volunteer badge, follow privacy rules, and maintain professional boundaries with all parents and families.
